mEET SOPHIE
Founder and lead floral designer at Sophie Flowers. Sophie brings fun floral experiences to life through her unique concepts and design-led approach to floristry.
Sophie didn't plan on becoming a wedding florist but was born a creative. She set out to pursue a career in floristry after feeling unfulfilled in conventional office and hospitality jobs. Flower arranging in her university bedroom and then hosting dinner parties with lots of flowers and her famous tiramisu - Sophie found a way of pursing her creativity which resulted in bringing people together. Six years later and that has transformed into her very own creative design studio where her signature style is recognised all over the world.
From garden party weddings to candlelit dinner parties, along with her talented team of designers and creatives, Sophie brings people together through bespoke visions and ensures unforgettable floral experiences every time.

INSPIRATION
Sophie is both English and Italian, an old romantic at heart with a love for vintage too. Sophie seeks inspiration from architecture, interiors and the arts. She pours a part of herself into all of her designs, and she is obsessed with the idea of bringing different concepts together to create something utterly bespoke for her clients. She curates large and wild displays typically seen in an English garden, whilst also leaning into more artistic, sculptural forms that you would typically find in an Italian garden villa. The depths in which Sophie goes to bring a personalised vision to life is truly unique.
We invite our clients to connect with the natural world through personalised, CREATIVE VISIONS, where weddings & celebrations feel like one big GARDEN PARTY.

The Garden Party Style
" I'd only ever considered the term 'garden party style' with dress codes for events. I'm hugely inspired by the fashion world too, it made sense to start reimagining floral design as a feeling as well as an aesthetic. Balancing formal with comfortable, similarly to how we balance timeless and sophisticated florals with a more laid-back style, characterised by colourful palettes and fun patterns. We bring the party to the garden by connecting our clients to the natural world in an approachable, playful and fun kind of way."
Busy tables, mismatch glassware, floral frocks, and a fun cocktail menu are just some of the lovely additions that complement the garden party feel her clients love so much!

Striving for Sustainability
We are committed to bringing joy-filled flower experiences wherever we go and this goes beyond our floral designs. Behind the scenes we work closely with our suppliers to ensure sustainable farming and social practices, whether that's in our home county, Cornwall, across the UK or beyond. Having these strong relationships with our British and overseas suppliers is fundamental in providing transparency in our supply chains.
We are a foam free studio and continue to teach and promote sustainable methods of floristry. We have invested in longer lasting alternatives and mechanics that are non harmful, providing a better environment for people and planet.
Sustainability is incredibly important to us and we continue to work with like-minded clients and brands. A proportion of our profits are donated to social and environmental projects.
